I'm a designer who leads with empathy, purpose, and a deep belief in the power of human-centered design. As an ENFJ, I’m driven by a strong sense of altruism—I don’t just design for users; I advocate for them. I intuitively understand the emotions and needs of others, often acting as an emotional barometer in collaborative settings. While empathetic, I’m also straightforward in my communication, ensuring clarity and efficiency. This balance fuels my commitment to creating meaningful, accessible experiences that genuinely improve people’s lives.
I’m goal-oriented and naturally inclined to see the big picture, which helps me balance strategic thinking with practical execution. I prioritize user research as a non-negotiable part of the design process, and I value collaboration as a way to unlock fresh, diverse perspectives that elevate the work far beyond what any one person could do alone.
When under pressure, I remain calm and lean on the efficiency of UX best practices to guide decision-making—choosing clarity and usability over creative indulgence when deadlines are tight. I pride myself on being strategic and dependable, always meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Outside of design, you’ll find me enjoying films, camping trips, live sporting events, or a good audiobook. I’m also passionate about volunteering in my community and teaching others, whether it’s design-related or simply sharing what I’ve learned along the way. I believe curiosity, resilience, and compassion are just as essential in life as they are in design—and I bring that mindset into every project I take on.
What others have said about me
At Mountain America Credit Union, employees were encouraged to publicly share positive experiences and feedback about their colleagues. Below, I've included a selection of comments from team members who collaborated with me. Additionally, I’ve included a professional recommendation from Kristi, a former colleague from Brigham Young University.
“Sarah teaches a UX class online for my department and was an invaluable partner in restructuring the class and redefining it. She was also a wonderful instructor that took time to improve the experience for the students as well as give them personalized feedback. I hope to work with her more to continue to improve the class. She would make a great addition to any team. She's not afraid to speak up when things can be done better and always wants to be part of the solution. She's both dedicated and skilled and always eager.to.learn more.”

“Just wanted to thank you for your time yesterday and how truly much it meant to be heard. Being given the opportunity to convey my experience openly and honestly. I’m feeling pretty thankful knowing that perhaps I’m not alone in my observations with CRM and its impact on me feeling inadequate as well as other processes. My hope is that our discussion will be heard and taken into real consideration.”

“First and foremost, I get so excited when I get to work with you and see my projects/products come to life. Especially when we don't have to live in a box and can be creative where you design the best experience. But that's not why I'm recognizing you. The recognition is for what you did last night, and why I came to you originally. Not only did I throw a somewhat crazy timeline at you. But you delivered something amazing. Before.the.deadline. All while being sick and not feeling well. Thanks for what you do.”
